“The unflinching integrity of their interpretation and the excitement of their playing were consistently superb.”

Dear Friends, some of you will already know that the Dante Quartet is about to change. From 2020, cellist Richard Jenkinson will take the quartet forward with three excellent new colleagues. While the Dante Quartet continues in its new form, the annual Dante Festival will continue independently in Cornwall, run by Krysia Osostowicz. Details will appear in early 2020 on www.dantefestival.org.
We wish the new Dante Quartet all the best for the future, and we hugely appreciate the past 6 years we have spent together, joyful and action-packed, with never a dull moment. In particular, playing the complete Beethoven and Shostakovich cycles has been a wonderful experience for us all. Next year Somm Records will release our final two recordings of Stanford’s chamber works, a treasure trove of finely crafted and imaginative music. We hope you enjoy them!
Goodbye and thank you; let’s stay in touch.
